Raymar Smooth Cotton Featherlite Panels
The Raymar 1/16" MDF 'Feather Lite' Panel is a professional quality painting panel designed for the traveler and true outdoor painter. We mount linen or canvas on with a pH neutral adhesive on a 1/16 inch MDF through a commercial process to bind the fabric and panel in a uniform way. The 1/16th inch MDF is half the weight and thickness of the original 1/8th inch thick RayMar Panel but still maintains the same integrity and high quality of a RayMar board. Next, we cover the reverse side of the panel with a gray melamine finish. This creates an acid-free archival art board that resists warping and provides a permanent barrier against deterioration from moisture or mold. This process creates an affordable, museum-quality painting board for artists.
