1:30pm-4:30pm
Cost: $120 for all three or $50 per workshop.

These Workshops are for Beginners and Experienced Novices (those who have been painting for less than a year).
If you've never painted, or if the "how-to" books aren't clear enough, this progression of workshops is for you. In each class, we will complete a 9 x 12 landscape painting that you can take home and hang! We'll get acquainted with composition, color harmony, brushwork and perspective (linear and atmospheric). In the process, you will become organized to paint a simple landscape "en plein air" (outdoors) with confidence and enjoyment. The classes will start with the basics and build from there. You'll learn a lot - and have some fun. For more information, or to register, contact Ed at 707-367-2454 or http://www.fineartbyduarde.blogspot.com/
You'll find your supply list there also.

This fun and multi-faceted process integrates all the creative aspects of hands-on immediacy, planning, cooperation and patience on one stage. You will learn the basics for creating a Claymation movie. The only difference between you and the professional movies makers will be the amount of time and equipment you dedicate to your project.
In this class you will have the opportunity to learn to:
Build an armature (wire skeleton) and make your clay characters
Create a stage set with foreground, middle ground and background, Play - work cooperatively with others
Think in terms of time and motion
Learn about stop motion software
Create "pieces" of your movie and stitch them together with computer software.
Have fun completing a long-term multi faceted project

Students and parents will see the huge potential that Claymation has for science assignments. You can animate physics principles, chemical models, biological processes, ecology and more. Learning Claymation opens up your potential to impress your classmates and teachers with your original animation for a class presentation. (Wow! Use art and science together!)
