Drawing heads pulls together many foundation skills in drawing.  Line, light, value, shape and space are all integral to drawing people.  Working with a model each week we’ll learn how to see and draw heads and faces  by looking at the relationships between head shape, hair, and features.  Starting by looking at a skull, we’ll learn about the basic structure of the head, and what to consider when drawing a real person.  There will be lessons on eyes, noses, and lips.  At the same time, we will do our best to draw with our eyes, rather than our assumptions about what something looks like.

Janet has been teaching drawing, painting and sculpture for the past 30 years. She offers private lessons, classes, retreats and workshops. For more information go to www.janetjacobs.com
